9 Day High & Dry

Day 1
Depart Cape Town to Langebaan on the West Coast. Enjoy seafood West Coast style, prepared for you right on the beach. Drive to the Piketberg Mountains and spend the remainder of the afternoon exploring the mountain trails.

Day 2
After an early rise, ride on horse-back through the fynbos before enjoying a late breakfast. Work off your meal with an exhilarating downhill mountain bike ride before driving to Lamberts Bay to visit the Gannet colony. Spend the night in a dune field bush camp.

Day 3
Spend the morning quad-biking and sand-boarding on the dunes before traveling to Clanwilliam to tour the town. Another long exhilarating downhill cycle takes you to your accommodation on the edge of the Cederberg Wilderness Area. Explore the wilderness on foot while your hosts prepare a delicious traditional Khoisan meal.

Day 4
After breakfast, marvel at the ancient wonders on the world reknowned Seville Rock Art Trail. On your mountain bike again for another long ride down into the quaint missionary town of Wuppertal. Spend the afternoon cooling off in clear rock pools before cycling to a remote camp on the edge of the Cederberg Wilderness Area.

Day 5
Day hike through the Cederberg Wilderness Area to a farm nestled in the heart of the mountains. Camp beside a mountain stream.

Day 6
Experience a wilderness horse trail through the Cederberg before breakfast, and then travel further into the Cederberg for lunch at a series of rock pools with some exciting jump options. The afternoon is spent with abseiling instruction at the campsite before indulging in some wine tasting in the evening.

Day 7
An early rise sees you hike through the mountains to the Wolfberg Cracks before testing your skills on a 40m abseil into the stone corridors. After lunch and a swim, cycle through dramatic rock formations to toast the sunset from an ancient Bushman cave. Marvel at the stars from the Cederberg Observatory following dinner at the campsite.

Day 8
Back on your bike for more exploration of the trails before traveling to Citrusdal to prepare for an optional full day of sky diving** training and the ultimate jump. Soak away the stress in hot springs.

Return to Cape Town and complete your experience with a township tour.

4 Day High & Dry

Day 1
Travel from Cape Town to the heart of the Cederberg Wilderness Area. Spend the rest of the day swimming and jumping into natural rock pools, mountain biking and abseiling at the camp site. Toast the sunset from the famous Stadsaal caves.

Day 2
After an early breakfast, hike up to the red sandstone cliffs before testing your abseil skills into the haunting Wolfberg Cracks.Lunch by the river back at camp before transferring to Travelers Rest to enjoy a traditional Khoisan meal.

Day 3
A full day exploring the wonders of ancient bushman rock art on the famous Seville rock art trail before driving further into the remote Cederberg to cycle into the missionary village of Wupperthal deep in the mountains. Enjoy a tour of the village, the church and a traditional shoe factory, soaking the dust of the day away in more natural rock pools.

Day 4
After a leisurely breakfast, transfer to Langebaan to ride on horseback across open dunes to enjoy a traditional West Coast seafood barbeque on the beach. Return to Cape Town, taking in the view of Table Mountain on the way back.

Active Weekend Getaways Cederberg

Day 1 - Friday
Depart from Cape Town for a 3.5 hour drive to the Cederberg Wilderness Area. For the energetic, there is a mountain bike ride over and down a mountain pass into our camp site. Relax and swim in the river or engage in a game of volleyball while your guides prepare a traditional South African barbeque.

Day 2 - Saturday
An early rise with coffee and rusks before an introductory taste of abseiling near the camp. The day is then spent hiking up to and exploring the magnificent Wolfberg Cracks and, time permitting, the Wolfberg Arch, before putting your abseil training to the test with an exciting 30m descent into the Cracks. Rest those weary legs in the river before taking in the sunset from the famous Stadsaal caves, home of the ancient bushman. Options exist to go wine tasting at a local cellar, or spend the evening stargazing from the Cederberg Observatory.

Day 3 - Sunday
A more leisurely rise and a full breakfast are followed by a mountain bike trail past stunning rock formations in the heart of the Cederberg wilderness. Lunch with a swim and a jump from 7m or 11m into the rock pools, before soaking up the stunning views en route back to Cape Town.

Active Weekend Getaways West Coast

Day 1 - Friday
Depart from Cape Town for a 2.5 hour drive to Lamberts Bay. Transfer by tractor to a bush camp in the dunes to enjoy a traditional West Coast fish braai under the stars.

Day 2 - Saturday
An early rise with coffee and rusks before exploring the area on your quad-bike, with sand-boarding thrown in as an optional extra. A quick lunch back at the camp before driving to the Cederberg Wilderness area to our camp on the river. The afternoon is spent mountain biking past magnificent rock formations on wilderness trails before returning to the camp for an introductory abseil session. After a cool swim, take in the sunset from the famous Stadsaal Caves, home of the ancient bushman. Options exist to go wine tasting at a local cellar, or spend the evening stargazing from the Cederberg Observatory.

Day 3 - Sunday
After a light snack for breakfast, we hike up to explore the haunting Wolfberg cracks and enjoy a brunch before putting your abseil training to the test with an exciting 30m descent into the Cracks. A quick swim and 7m and/or 11m jump in the rock pools to cool off before soaking up the stunning views on the way back to Cape Town.

Garden Route Adventure Bus

Day 1
We collect from various accommodation establishments and head out from Cape Town by mid-morning. Our first day is spent relaxing and negotiating our way down a Cape River on two-man rafts. Lunch is on the river. We end the day with a wine-tasting, dinner in the bush camp and relax around the fire getting to know each other.
This day is all-inclusive except alchohol and soft drinks.

Day 2
After an early start, we transfer to our next stop: The picturesque Swellendam with its classic architecture and mountainous backdrop.
Morning options: Flight in a light aircraft
Flight in a motorized glider
Flight in a microlight
Game Drive in the Bontebok National Park
Afternoon options:   A 2-hour horse ride along the base of the mountains
A trip to the Buffelsjag dam where you can experience the exciting 100m zip line and explore the lake on a custom- built raft, including an optional abseil at the base of the gorge.
Lazy Options: Explore the town, including the old open-air museum and the sustainable farming project.(for own account)
We overnight in Swellendam, where you get to choose the restaurant of your choice - there are a number of really good places to eat and we will be happy to advise.(for own account)

Day 3
We move on to the Bunji jumping bridge, where you have the option of throwing yourself off a bridge-either on the bunji line, or on the bridge swing. There is also a climbing wall for those who would like to have a go. There are great viewing points for those who feel they are not up this amount of adrenaline.
From here we continue on to the world famous Cango Caves for a memorable tour of this extensive caving system. This is included in the tour for a reason and is a highlight of many peoples stay in South Africa. For those who do not want to go deep and dark, there is the mountain biking option: 20km of fast, loose downhill down the Swartberg pass. A vehicle will follow to pick up any pieces!!
We overnight near the caves, dinner is included for the backpackers.

Day 4
We move on back towards the coast, stopping over at an ostrich farm along the way. You will get the chance to ride one of these large birds(weight dependent) and even stand on the eggs. At Knysna, we stop at an adventure center, where you have a range of activities to chose from:
Canoeing/Kayaking on Knysna's extensive estuary
Diving: Wreck or estuary drift dive
Waterfall abseil and Fox slide in the forest
Mountain Biking in the Knysna forest
A Township tour - meet the local Sangoma as well as the local Rastafarian community
Explore the holiday town of Knysna. Enjoy a drink at the quaint Waterfront and sample fresh Knysna oysters (for own account)
Knysna, our overnight spot has a plethora of restaurants and pubs to chose from for good food and vibe (dinner for own account)

Day 5
We have a reasonably early start, but you will have an hour in the bus to allow the coffee to take effect before your next choice of activities. This final day of adventure is a fitting climax to this trip with a number of fun activities available:
Half Day Options: (chose two if you wish - we are here for the full day)
Tree Top Tour: A superb exploration of the forest canopy utilizing a fox slide system that takes you from tree to tree.
Gorge Abseil: No experience is necessary
Mountain Biking: 22km along superb forest tracks
Woodcutters tour: Specially designed vehicles will take you along the elephant trail past huge yellowwood and Stinkwood trees.
Lunch/ Tea is next to the Storms river
Full Day Options:    Black Water Tubing: Descend into the gorge via a rope ladder, then spend the day canyoneering down this beautiful river.
Gorge Challenge: High Adrenaline: Abseil 110m, then 2 hrs of canyoneering and finally 22km of superb mountain biking.
Woodcutters and Marine Tour: The Woodcutters tour is followed by a boat trip into the mouth of the Storms river and a walk to an ancient Khoisan cave.
Bass/Fly fishing: A day trip to 2 beautiful locations
Lazy Option: Chill out in the Tsitsikamma National Park - on the beach or walking some of the many coastal trails.
Hopefully by now you will be exhausted. Our last night is in the Tsitsikamma national park on the rugged south coast. A traditional South African braai will finish the day before falling asleep to the sounds of crashing surf.

Day 6
Breakfast is together in the restaurant overlooking the sea. You will then have chance to explore the park, before we head back towards Knysna and then on to Cape Town.
