Experience these exciting adventure sports in a day out in the beautiful Cape Peninsula National Park. Active Africa will guide you through the important basics and allow you the opportunity to try your hand at these activities under the supervision of experienced, qualified guides.
We will abseil down a sheer rock face from where we will climb routes of varying difficulties. We maintain a high guide - client ratio to ensure you receive maximum attention and supervision. The climbing is on bolted routes on clean Table Mountain Sandstone - a perfect venue for trying your hand at something completely different. Coupled with the great views of False Bay and the Hottentots Holland mountains, this day out will be a highlight of your stay in Cape Town. |

Forest Adventure Challenge
Break away from yet another sight-seeing coach tour and try something different - join Active Africa for an exciting day out in the forests of the Southern Cape Peninsula! Experience a variety of adventure activities in a safe and controlled environment, let the peaceful atmosphere of the forest with its tantalizing glimpses of the mountains soak up the adrenaline, and wash off the dust and sweat of the day with a refreshing dip before celebrating your achievements over a glass of Cape wine on your way back to Cape Town.
 
A short 20 minute journey from Cape Town brings you to the Silvermine Nature Reserve and spectacular views of the Southern Peninsula. Your day is spent hiking through this mountain reserve, mountain biking down the slopes and along the tracks through the forests, abseiling and climbing on natural rock faces, a 150m zip line and, time permitting, a swim to wash of the dust before tasting some of the wares from the historical vineyards of the Constantia wine farms.

Cape Point Adventure Tour
 
Want to try a Cape Peninsula tour with a slight difference? We follow the regular route around the peninsula, with our first stop at Hout Bay, where you have the option to join a 1-hour horse ride along the river or take a boat trip to Duiker Island to view the seal colony. We follow the scenic route to the Point, taking in some of the best views along the way. We visit Cape Point with an optional cliff-top walk to the Cape of Good Hope. A picnic lunch in the park is a gourmet affair, before moving on to the Boulders penguin colony. We end the day with an optional � hour Hobie trip in False Bay - it's the most fun you can have in a wetsuit!! For the non-sailors, swimming and other beach activities are available and for those preferring a dry option, free time in Kalk Bay adds a cultural dimension to the day. Finish the day with a frosty on the way back to town.
